Corsica

Napoleon was born in a little city called Corsica. The town that he was born in is called Ajaccio. Napoleon’s full name was Napoleon di Bonaparte. Napoleon was the second of seven children. His father was named Nobile Carlo Buonaparte who was an attorney. He was the representative to the court of Louis XVl. Napoleon’s influence was his mother who was called Maria Letizia Ramolino. Her discipline made Napoleon a rough or rude child. Napoleon had an elder brother named Joseph and younger brothers and sisters named Lucien, Elisa, Louis, Pauline, Caroline, and also Jerome. He was baptized to a Catholic when he turned two. He was educated at a military school.



Italy

Napoleon had left Paris and went to Italy and took control of the army. After that he took invasion of Italy. Then there was a battle of Lodi and Napoleon defeated Austrian forces. And then he took them out of Lombardy. Later, Napoleon was defeated by the Austrian reinforcements in Caldiero who was led by someone called Jozsef Alvinczi. Napoleon was arguing with the things that the directory atheists want which is to march to Rome and kicked off the Pope and then reasoned with the creator of a power vacuum. Later, the royalists had attacked Napoleon for prowling Italy and he said that he had overstepped his authority with making a deal with the Austrians.



Egypt

Napoleon thought that ruling France only was not enough so he had done a military expedition to take over Egypt. When he went to Egypt, he had a group of 167 scientist, Mathematics, naturalists, chemists and geodesists. The work that they did where published in Egypt. In Egypt, Napoleon had gone to Malta in the year June 9, 1798 and after that the Knights Hospitaller controlled him. Napoleon has gotten out of his problems by the Royal Navy and went to Alexandria in July 1. Napoleon made proclamations that made him as a liberator for the people. After that Egypt was turned to a province for the Ottoman Empire which means that Napoleon is now the ruler of the Egyptians.


France

When Napoleon was in Egypt, he was told the France had been being defeated so many times In the War of the Second Coalition. In the year of 1799, Napoleon took one of the British ships from the French coastal ports and went for sail to France. When he reached there was an army that was left in the charge of Jean Baptiste. Without Napoleon knowing, the directory ordered him to back off of possible of the invasions of the French soil. Napoleon went to the directors for support. The leaders had included Napoleon’s brother, Lucien Bonaparte. Later, Napoleon led armies to seize control and Napoleon had to administer the government.


Russia

The alliance in Russia had grown worse and it made Napoleon really mad. He had an invasion to the French and later in June 23, 1812, the invasion of Russia began. Napoleon called this war the First Polish War so that the Polish nobles where against Russia. The Polish wanted a little part of Russia, which was Poland, joined with Duchy of Warsaw. Napoleon had rejected that because he promised Austria that this wouldn’t happen (Austria is an ally of Napoleon). After that rejection the Russian’s had retreated deep into Russia. Napoleon moved in and defeated the Russians. Russians still retreated and tried to get away from battle.


Saint Helena

Napoleon went to prison and then later he had to be exiled on an island called Saint Helena which is in the Atlantic Ocean and 2,000 km away from landmass. When he was living there in the first two months, he was in a Briars estate, which was for William Balcombe. During the exile, Napoleon was closer to his family and then Napoleon later wrote a book called, “Recollections of the Emperor Napoleon.” The friendship between Napoleon and his family had ended in the year 1818 and the British where suspicious that William had been in the middle of Napoleon and Paris and later he was taken out of the island.


13 Vendémiaire

Napoleon was been sent to jail at a place called For Carre in Antibes which is in the year 1794. After ten days he was released. In the year 1795, Napoleon was assigned the Army of the West, which was sent to the War in the Vendée. This war was a civil war and also a counter-revolution. On September 15, Napoleon was taken out of the list of the generals. He was removed because he was told that he didn’t accept to serve in the Vendée campaign. Napoleon now has to face a really big problem. The same year (1795), in October 3, the royalists which were in Paris had a rebellion which is against the National Convention.


Austria

Austria was Napoleon biggest enemy. Austria had launched a campaign that they can have large-scale revolution. The troops of Austria had invaded the Bavaria in the year 1809. After that Napoleon fought with Austria and he made the Austrians retreat back across the border. Later, he went on to Vienna and captured the city on May 13. The Emperor of Austria had refused to sign a peace treaty between them. Napoleon had to slaughter the Austrians. So Napoleon sent an army to Austria in May 22 and the Austrians were sent back to Napoleon’s bridges and destroyed it.
